New Releases: Peak Velocity and Women's Physical Data

Available now across all SkillCorner platforms

We have today launched two new additions to our Physical data package: Peak Velocity and Women’s Physical Data.

Peak Velocity is a new metric that reliably captures a player’s absolute maximum speed, providing key additional information on peak physical performance for scouting and recruitment.

Read our blog for all the details.

Women’s Physical Data is the first fully calibrated physical package built around the true demands of women's football.

Watch our explainer video to find out how these dedicated thresholds were created and how they impact scouting and recruitment workflows.

Both of these additions are now available across all of our solutions. Here is a recap of the changes by platform:

API

  • From today, you will be able to access the new peak velocity and women's physical data using the query parameter data_version=3.0.3. This will become the default version on July 20.
  • To monitor availability of the new data version, use the physical_v3_0_3_last_modified parameter; to monitor availability of the previous version, continue using physical_v3_last_modified.
  • This may affect your ingestion pipeline due to the addition of two new keys to the physical endpoint JSON response: peak_velocity and peak_velocity_top3.

Webapp & Webapp Lab

  • Both platforms now support the new metrics. Women’s thresholds will be applied automatically when browsing women’s competitions.

Across all platforms, these new metrics are already available for all current and historical seasons.
